PORTFOLIO CREDIT RISK ANALYST
Overview:
Our client a leading financial services provider are seeking to hire an experienced portfolio credit risk analyst to help assist with a recent acquisition and to contribute to the overall group risk functions.
This is a permanent role which will provide the success candidate with unrivalled exposure and excellent flexibility.

Duties:
Set and monitor credit risk performance across the lifecycle and perform thematic reviews on the business portfolios.
Coordinate credit risk activity, liaising with the local business representatives, to embed and maintain an effective credit risk management framework.
Develop and present high-quality credit risk related MI and insight to Credit Committees and other major stakeholders to support informed decision making.
Ensure all credit governance requirements are adhered to including timely completion of RCSAs, policy reviews, quality assurance, mandate reviews, audit remediation, incident management and escalation.
Influence key senior stakeholders and contributes to broader strategic planning and business decision-making by providing insight, control and thought leadership.
Develop credit policies, whilst supporting the delivery of business objectives and aligning with local regulation and the Bank Credit Risk Standards.
Contribute to the determination of the risk appetite and contribute to the development of strategic objectives to enable the implementation of the risk strategies.
Ensure compliance with prudent underwriting standards, working with operations and 3rd party service providers to ensure bad debt is managed appropriately, and all processes comply with the regulatory guidance.
Supporting product and commercial development, participate in project working groups.
Effectively write and communicate change proposals and support the effective implementation of any change management.
Monitor economic early warning indicators and supporting bespoke downturn planning/playbooks.
Support the review and development of affordability strategies, working closely with 1st and 2nd line teams to ensure strategies adhere to regulation and deliver good customer outcomes.
Review risk models and associated capital and impairment outputs, ensuring it continually reflects the risk in the portfolio, remains adequate and is set in line with the Group’s approach on provisioning and compliant with relevant accounting standards.
Skills & Experience
In depth understanding of credit risk across the lifecycle.
Strong analytical mindset to be able to understand and investigate complex issues in a methodical manner.
Experience implementing credit policies, affordability strategies and appropriate risk control frameworks in a regulated environment.
Strong stakeholder management, influencing and networking skills, demonstrating high competency in building cross functional relationships to support a variety of business needs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact and communicate.
Working knowledge of designated activity companies, inter/intra company service agreements and material outsourcing.
Background in Retail Finance or a similar secured asset lending environment.
Strong coding skills, with experience using tools such as SAS or equivalent.
Salary: €55,000 - €65,000
