MANAGEMENT REPORTING ACCOUNTANT

Overview

My client a leading Irish bank are currently seeking a recently qualified accountant to join there rapidly expanding team.

The role will predominately deal with management reporting and investor relations.

As an Analyst within Management Reporting & Investor Relations, you will support management with  ensuring the delivery of the monthly financial performance to senior management, ExCo and Board.

You will also play a key role in the preparation of the Annual & Interim Results presentations and

quarterly trading updates.

You will be a member of a small, but focused team who have involvement in many areas of the

business and whose responsibilities cover all aspects of management reporting as well as the

preparation of the Annual and Interim Results presentations.

This exciting opportunity will offer the successful candidate excellent opportunities to learn and

progress both within the Finance function and the Group.


Responsibilities:

  • Review monthly actual versus budgeted performance

  • Assist with the preparation of financial presentations for senior management, ExCo & Board

  • Contribute to the preparation and release of market updates and results presentations

  • Contribute to the maintenance, continual improvement and update of the bespoke Excel based financial forecasting tool

  • Contribute to the financial analysis of proposed commercial strategies, preparation of sensitivity analysis and evaluation of strategic considerations

  • Contribute to the team’s role in driving and improving the quality of financial analysis provided to senior management

  • Develop cross-functional relationships to maintain and improve the flow of key information, thereby ensuring the delivery of on-time and internally consistent data Support senior management on an ad hoc basis Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets & multi-year financial forecasts.


Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Management Reporting role, or other role involving a significant financial analysis component

  • Holder of a relevant professional qualification in accounting

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills

  • Ability to develop robust financial analysis and work with complex financial models

  • Sound commercial acumen

  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships

  • Customer outcome focus and effective partner management

  • A clear focus on quality and efficiency

  • Strong problem solving capabilities

  • Highly motivated with the ability to work on own initiative

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Desired

  • Previous experience in a finance function within a financial institution preferred

  • Strong understanding of performance drivers and balance sheet dynamics

  • Solid understanding of financial valuations
