DIRECTOR OF SALES - INVOICE FINANCE

Overview:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven and experienced Director of Sales to join an established brand as they go through a growth phase.

This role will work closely alongside the MD and will provide the successful candidate with excellent career opportunities.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading and growing sales teams within either Invoice Finance, Asset Finance or SME Lending.

This role with suit someone who is commercially focused and sales orientated.

              

Key Tasks:

  • Creating a sales strategy to help continue the company’s growth.

  • Introducing, reviewing and improving internal sales processes.

  • Ensuring the Sales Team have the knowledge and tools they need to succeed. 

  • Setting and monitoring KPI’s for the Sales Team.

  • Holding weekly sales meetings and motivating the Sales Team to obtain maximum value for the company.

  • Conducting quarterly appraisals with the Sales Team.

  • Managing the performance of the Sales Team and resolve all performance issues, using the company’s disciplinary process, when required.

  • Completing regular reports and analysing them, to ensure goals are being achieved.

  • Presenting sales performance figures to the MD and up to group board members, when required.

  • Monitoring all tasks to ensure high levels of diligence.

  • Ensuring the company culture is embedded in the Sales Team.

  • Keeping up to date with industry news and competitors activity.

  • Recruiting for the Sales Team, when required.

  • Preparing applications for underwriting, including reviewing financials, understanding financial ratios, identifying risk, and implementing mitigating actions.

  • Taking responsibility for own sales activity to help contribute to the company target.

  • Implementing initiatives in order to grow, develop and retain business customers

  • Scheduling appointments, attend and present at external customer meetings to review service requirements and determine additional opportunities on a daily basis

  • Proactively seeking and closing additional sales through lead generation, networking and customer referrals


Experience and Skills:

  • Proven record of accomplishment in a successful sales career.

  • Professionalism and ability to manage and motivate a sales team to reach their full potential. 

  • Proven success in a sales management role, with experience of leading substantial sales growth. 

  • Ability to understand, create and improve sales processes.

  • Experience of creating sales strategies and plans to implement them.

  • Experience of working in a fast changing and innovative environment.

  • Sound verbal and written communication skills.

  • Good presentation skills.

  • Ability to quickly learn and understand complex products.

  • Knowledge of Factoring (preferred however full training will be given).

  • Basic understanding of IT, experience of API’s would be beneficial.

  • Experience of negotiation at all levels.

  • Experience in using a CRM system.

Salary: €120,000 - €200,000 OTE
