Client Account Executive – SME Lending

My client a leading SME finance provider is currently seeking a Client Services Executive who is a customer focused individual and who is keen to learn the ropes and develop a career within SME lending.

This role will suit someone who is looking for career progression, passionate about developing relationships and networking and wants to be part of a growing and leading company within SME lending.

The successful candidate will work closely with the development on new ideas, incentives, and recommendations to improve company performance in order to remain competitive and provide the best SME funding solution across Ireland.


  • Act as a daily point of contact on a portfolio of clients, responding to e-mails, calls etc. in a timely and customer friendly fashion.

  • Build strong working relationships with clients and balance risk and customer service effectively.

  • Perform credit control & reconciliation activities including collection of debtor payments, verification of debts, dealing with queries about payments, negotiating repayment plans, allocating payments, review of monthly reconciliations, bank statements, debtors, creditors, revenue.

  • Pre-screen applications to ensure all documents and application details are provided. 

  • Working closely with Credit Team on all administrative functions associated with the prompt SLAs for all loan applications.

  • Collaborating with Originations Team on improving client interactions and processing of loan applications in a timely manner

  • Engaging directly with clients/intermediaries via telephone, email and other forms

  • Creates his/her own ideas and fosters a culture of entrepreneurial spirit with brokers and SME clients 

  • Pipeline management to keep all loan applications/offers current and on track.

  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with all stakeholders including SME clients, and external brokers.

  • Investigates and resolves customer problems with the loan process from origination to closing such as AML/KYC, PGs, funding, campaigns, and general loan drawdown queries

  • Administration of all Broker inbound queries and offers general support and advice on loan applications

  • Assists with marketing and broker support where necessary and on an ad hoc basis


  • 1+ years experience working within SME banking, reconciliations or credit control.

  • Positive “can do” attitude with a hunger to learn and develop.

  • Excellent listening and communication skills

  • Hunger for sales

  • Knowledge of credit and loan process and procedures.

Salary - €30,000 - €38,000 (DOE) + bonus & benefits
